The Real

When moments come about when I start straying away from the whole workwear/Americana/denim denim denim/tough guy/military style, it takes a shop like The Real McCoy’s to rope me back in.  

Maybe I’m stuck in this style because I need these clothes as a barrier to conceal my otherwise cowardly and unmanly demeanor.  Gasp!

Near a train station in Ginza, this huge display was set up showcasing a bunch of pictures of girls with a digital counter next to each picture.

It took me a sec to realize that they are all the same girl.  It took me another sec to realize that she looked very similar to fashion blogger fashiontoast(.com).  I’m sticking to my guns and saying that it is her, although it could be a completely different Asian girl and I just branded myself a racist. 

Near the counter was a giant button, with the Facebook ‘like’ thumbs-up next to it.

From what my feeble American mind can assume, I think people passing by can vote on which outfit they like best.  Whichever outfits gets the most ‘likes’, she has to wear for one year without taking it off, which includes no showering (again, what I am assuming).

I voted for the ‘headless horseman cheerleader on PCP’ outfit (not pictured).
